Inspiring our students to grow as lifelong learners beyond the HJIS walls is a deeply rooted value of our school ethos. The HJIS mission is to nurture and develop a broader range of global understanding and help students cultivate a feeling of accountability that surpasses school life. HJIS students have established that contributing to the greater good allows them to find meaning in benefiting others – empowering them to make a difference in the world.
HJIS students can participate in service-learning opportunities at any grade level. Putting others before themselves at a young age empowers them to develop responsible global citizenship. Many past options were recommended and advocated by students across campus. By contributing and sharing these common values, students have learned more about themselves and the world around them while doing good as they do well, in return, developing passionate global citizens.
