The HJIS Library & Media Center seeks to promote a culture of reading by enabling students to interpret meaning from various forms of literature as they become lifelong learners. Our library helps our learning community become useful, ethical, and critical users of information available, foster a love of reading and encourage the use of the Library for a lifelong learning journey of storytelling.

Library Studies encourages students to be internationally-minded, global leaders through the development of IB Learner Profile attributes!

Our Library:

• plays a central role in both the Primary, Middle and Diploma Programme, developing Approaches to Learning skills
• provides resources to teachers to enhance their curricula
• encourages literacy development in the mother tongue as well as additional languages
• promotes lifelong learning through inquiry, research, exploration, and a love for reading
