HJIS is a candidate school for the International Baccalaureate (IB) Primary Years Programme (PYP) and is pursuing authorization as an IB World School. PYP has been developed for students aged 4-12 years old and uses a transdisciplinary, inquiry-based approach that focuses on developing the whole child.

The IBDP is an academically challenging and balanced programme of education with final examinations that prepares students, aged 16 to 19, for success at university and life beyond. It has been designed to address the intellectual, social, emotional and physical well-being of students.
