Horizon provides a truly holistic education that extends beyond the classroom. We run an incredibly diverse and various extra-curricular programs which includes sports, the arts, academic clubs and other experiences designed to help our students develop their talents, interests, and skills.
To address our students’ varied needs, HJIS staff incorporates social-emotional learning (SEL) through individual discussions, small-group instruction, collaborative meetings, or alignment and integration with the academic curriculum.
Our counseling program supports the social and emotional development needs of our students to enable them to face challenges in their personal and academic lives by developing their individual skills and capabilities. This program also helps our high school students to work on competencies and skills, including a balance of technical abilities and strengths in areas like critical thinking, problem-solving, collaboration and communication.
Dear HJIS Community,
