Horizon Japan International School has Gakko Hojin (educational corporation) status granted by Kanagawa Prefecture. The status of Gakko Hojin can only be granted by the government to entities who are under strict compliance. Horizon is governed by a Board of Directors with the best interests of students, teachers, and staff and provides governance to the school on policy and financial matters. The Board of Directors has overall responsibility for managing Horizon’s affairs, maintaining its educational standards, and administering its property portfolio. The Board of Directors also review the overall curriculum strategy for all schools and ensure the efficient use of resources.
